Handmade Gifts
2
When S decided to move to Australia I knew that I wanted to get her something special and not something store bought before she left.  It's something about making/receiving handmade gifts that make it much more special and seeing how much it's appreciated.  In my head I knew I wanted to make something that was cute and practical at the same time. So I decided on making a laptop case. [caption id="attachment_172" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Bunny Laptop Case for S[/caption]   After a few quick sketches I was off to make a quick trip to the fabric store.  Half a day spent with the sewing machine…and the bunny laptop case was done!  I actually couldn’t believe how simple it was to make and to my surprise it turned out all right despite being my first time working with quilt batting. I'm so glad S adores it.  It's what handmade gifts are all about.  How happy it makes others. -M
