Living in Vancouver, we are so privileged to be surrounded by such lovely local crafters and friends. A pair that we are so proud of are our own friends of Onana Knits. We spent most of our winter craft season side by side this duo. In fact, they really are the first to help introduce us to the world of craft fairs.
When Eleanor of Onana contacted us about a special secret order she wanted to make for her and her partner Rachel, we were more than excited!
With thoughts of pineapples, which is what “Onana” means, and sheep, which relate to their knitted mug cozies, swirling in our minds, we knew that this would be the perfect custom order to bring us into the new year!
Fresh, fluffy, oh so cute and sweet, these Onana custom pineapple sheep definitely are our favourite custom orders to date. Using new techniques and mimicking wool like a golf ball we gave these sheep a bit of a more “real” look while still staying true to our cute animated style.
We hope to create more polymer clay charms like these in the future and possibly collaborate with our friends of Onana Knits. And many thanks to the talented Nhi Le of Noyo Creative for taking these photos! We couldn’t take enough shots of these guys =).
